We simplify, construct and finance complex power projects — taking them from conception to operation, and leading everything in between.
Three projects to date: a 650 MW combined-cycle gas plant at Kuala Sungai Baru, Perlis, Malaysia; the 1,200 MW Duyen Hai 2 supercritical thermal plant in Tra Vinh Province, Vietnam; and the 78 MW Tra Vinh II near-shore wind plant, also in Vietnam.
Together that is 1,928 MW of capacity and roughly USD 3.2 billion in project value.
Develop
Finding the site, proving the project works, and negotiating the approvals, offtake and concession terms that let it go ahead.
Finance
Securing the financing to build at scale, and working with lenders and partners to bring a project to close.
Operate
Building, commissioning and keeping the plant operational for the full life of the concession.
Tra Vinh II's eighteen turbines generate roughly 257.4 GWh of renewable power each year, in a province where employment options are thin.
Proudly Singaporean. Janakuasa was built here, and from here has developed power projects across Malaysia and Vietnam. Our new ventures are based in Singapore and Tokyo.

Three plants developed since the nineties, each larger than the last, and a shift toward renewable generation from 2018.
Each project has been larger and more complex than the last. In 2018 we decided to pivot toward greener energy, and in 2019 we began looking past generation altogether.

In 2019 Janakuasa began looking beyond generation to reach the next billion — financing and supercharging local businesses and the communities they support.
